Members of the Olympic Museum’s heritage acquisitions team strategically positioned themselves throughout the various Olympic venues in Paris. Their mission was to collect donations that would be displayed in the museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. They met athletes in locker rooms, suites, and hallways, engaging in brief interactions. The team aimed to collect items that would reflect the stories of the Paris Games, such as a gymnast’s leotard, a fencer’s saber, a tennis racket belonging to a Grand Slam champion, and an outfit worn during the opening ceremony. The team compared their experience to a treasure hunt.
