Law enforcement officials in multiple countries have taken down an online platform that was selling phishing kits to cybercriminals, helping them carry out attacks on thousands of people. Led by the Metropolitan Police in the UK, the operation targeted LabHost, a website created in 2021 to aid hackers in setting up fake websites to trick individuals into disclosing sensitive information. The police arrested 37 suspects and conducted searches at over 70 locations globally. LabHost had amassed a significant amount of stolen data, including bank card numbers, PINs, and passwords. Europol, along with various international agencies, coordinated the police action against LabHost.
