Watching a West Ham game with George Earthy's dad: 'I kick and head every ball for him'

George Earthy’s family experienced a rollercoaster of emotions on April 14, 2024. Earthy made his Premier League debut for West Ham United against Fulham but suffered a head injury after colliding with teammate Edson Alvarez. He received medical attention for seven minutes before being taken off on a stretcher. Earthy’s parents were understandably distressed. He was taken to the hospital for a brain scan, which came back clear. West Ham United provided excellent support during this time. Earthy’s family attended most of his games, including his debut against Eintracht Frankfurt and his first Premier League goal against Luton Town. The young midfielder has already impressed new head coach Julen Lopetegui and will feature in West Ham’s pre-season tour of Florida.
